Anyone know any good food places near the park? I'm quite hungry after games!

There is a place across from the Oakland West BART Station called Pupeseria San Salvador. Small place but great food. Pupusas are off the hook. Papusa is a rounded corn meal dough usually stuffed with meat or cheese. The typical form is somewhat heavy and oily. Commonly served with repollo, a sliced cabbage marinated in vinegar.

They also have standard Mexican and Salvadorean faire and beers and is reasonably cheap and are open until 8pm everyday.

My gut's already making uncomfortable squishy noises just thinking about that food.

For lighter faire, you could go back to SF with the rest of the hippies and their organic rolled B.O. treats.

Hahahaha. I like your attitude. I usually find myself eating hippie veggie food to appease my g/f, but even a couple years ago when I was a full-blooded carnivore I wouldn't have eaten that. Cabbage is nasty, and the preparation of everything just doesn't appeal to me. But it does remind me of dim sum and steamed BBQ pork buns. Mmmmm... buns.

don't diss SF food. We got it all. I read that there are enough places to eat so that you could have breakfast, lunch, and dinner each at a different place, every day, for 7 years!

haha! U want grease and meat? go to the mission, Fillmore, or Bayview!

I will second that emotion about the pupuseria -- I should remember it's there the next game I'm at.

Speaking of grease, there's always Nation's on Broadway and 4th!

Everyone always says Farolito's burritos in the Mission are the best, and I have no argument.

Everett and Jones would be a good post-game place to eat, too, for those of us who are carnivores.

I don't know if it's open on Sunday, but I usually get half price sushi (not as scary as it sounds) at Suruki's on 10th and Washington during the week. Everything they pre-make goes on sale at 5 pm sharp. The sushi at Drunken Fish on 33rd or so and Broadway is fucking great.

I've passed by E&J's many times after a game only to find it closed on Sunday (or after game time). Sadly, this is not a post-game option. However, Louisiana Fish & Chips is open on Telegraph at 28th. Get there directly after the game because they close at 7, and the oil can get pretty dirty if you arrive too late. Although, some like the extra seasoning.

E & J's: Damn, that's too bad.

I've been by that fish and chips place a million times -- it's good?

Fish and chips?

Really? The food of my homeland, the finest dish on God's green Earth?
Hmm, I will have to try not to get my hopes up too high, I'm not sure it can be as good as back home...
