learn to push the ball, i almost hit one down the RF line but it was sorta foul. Look for a pitch low and away, low cause it makes it easier to get under and away cuase youre aiming for right.

it is more difficult to get under a low pitch.

We have had ONE opposite field HR that I have seen. Paul hit one at DeFem. But with the speed we pitch its hard to get the power needed to do it.

I've come relatively close a couple times lately; once at Defrem, once in Richmond. Shrug. If it does happen it'll be a fluke.

Yeah, I've come close once or twice to going out to RF at DeFremery. I actually think I came closer batting left-handed, now that I think about it. But I couldn't clear those trees going opposite field or switch-hitting.

Using the bat Paul used for his grand slam any of our righties should be able to hit it out to left or right at Nicholls. The fly ball I hit to right (untintentionally might I add; I was stuck in the mud and couldn't twist my back side) came close and I got nothing on that. If you couldn't tell I cannot hit to right field to save my life so I won't insult anyone with a lecture. What I will say is that we righties, assuming you have been watching and playing baseball all your life, should be able to go deep at either Defrem or Nicholls in right field. The concept is simple, the execution...well...not so much.

It's tempting at the fields we play on to go up there swinging from the heels and thinking yard almost every at bat. After Paul's grand slam I picked up the green bomb bat and tried it but grounded softly to 3rd. I realize that I have so much fun roping line drives and knowing that my average is steadily increasing that I am not willing to sacrifice outs for the quest to hit dingers. I've conceeded that category to Will. The homers will come when they come, with the right apporach the hits will be there almost everytime. Down and hard baby, down and hard.

blancito who are you my guess is james as the only other yankee fan is daniel

while you are right us righties "should" be able to go deep at any field other than CF its just easier when the fence is 40 feet closer like at nichol or 10 feet shorter like at def

I came three feet to the left and two feet short of hitting one out! After Paul, I came the closest to hitting it out, I think!

Did anyone see how far my flyout to Ollie in the 9th with the Koops bat went?

Nick, it landed about mid CF.

Peter, the one I hit in the 8th (I thnk) over Will's son that I started to walk to first on hit teh base of the fence. I thought it was gone so I'm guessing it was pretty close to gone.
